The funny thing is, my brother also got in trouble for speaking “french” too. And in High School, I found out that my friend’s father said the “speaking French” was bad, and so when my friend met a woman who was French he screamed and cried and told her she was a bad person.

I was not the only child to take the phrase literally, we might want to ease up it now days ;)

The toughest thing about the shield was making it believable that [Captain America] could throw this thing, have it bounce off something, then take some guy out and have it come back to him. We tried some practical stuff, where he’s throwing a rubber shield. Nothing worked until we handed it over to Chris Evans, until we said, ‘Okay, we’ve got this shield. It’s this wide, it weighs this much. What would you do? How would you throw it?’ And he came up with some really interesting ways of doing it. He had nothing in his hands, he was just miming the actions. It was basically Chris Evans’ ability to mime throwing and catching the shield that made it work.”

#probably the best explanation of a device in the tv history

This is literally my fourth or fifth time reblogging this.

It’s still hillarious.

One of my favorite lines

I kinda feel like the writers wrote this line specifically to drive the kind of fans who want to figure out how sci-fi tech would theoretically work crazy. They’re like “nope! We’re not going to give you any techno babble to tear apart or investigate or mull over to tell us how we’re doing it wrong, or how it compares in effectiveness to similar tech in other franchises.”

I also feel like this is one of those times when the TARDIS’s translation circuit just gave the fuck up. Like the ‘physics physics physics’ scene, where he is imparting secrets of the universe and the TARDIS is like THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR THIS IN ENGLISH DAMN IT DOCTOR OH HELL FUCK IT.

OH MY GODS she TOTALLY edits his speech. I be he actually swears a fuckton but the TARDIS is like THERE ARE CHILDREN

"Fuck fuck fuckity fuck!" = "Run!"

Just a reminder to the world that there is this glorious feminist thing called the Hawkeye Initiative. Where people draw Hawkeye (and possibly other avengers) in various sexual poses that comic artists generally depict women in.

It took me *forever* to realise that was what Arthur was doing, and when I figured it out, I was like, “Of course he would emulate Merlin…”
